Hello pingpong, thanks for your question.
It’s hard to make a pronouncement as to your potential competitiveness without a complete picture, but I’ll comment broadly.
Your GPA is slightly low, but from a strong school and a high GMAT – I’m not worried there.
You haven’t mentioned post-MBA goals at all. My main suggestion is to really think out what your short- and long-term career goals are. Do you know why you want an MBA? Can you paint a picture that cohesively ties together your past, present, and future? Is an MBA the way to put you on that path?
Additionally, leadership is not just about managing teams (though that is an important facet). More importantly for your essays, can you draw upon “moments” when you truly led: influenced individuals and organizations, drove results, took initiative?
Finally, you have not mentioned extracurricular activities outside of work. Your school activities matter less than what you’ve done recently.
So, given all of the aforementioned items, I think you’ll be a better judge of how competitive you’d be this year and, more importantly, is this the right time to apply.
Best of luck,
Brian
