Hi,
My profile is 720GMAT/65% (2.6GPA-?) /12YrsExp
I have worked for an electricity generation company for nearly 7 yrs after which I spent last 5 yrs in an IT consulting primarily working for Utilities clients.
I have published/ presented few papers and I dont have great extra- currricular acts to add to my profile.
I am looking for 1 year/ 15 months MBA with focus on Entrepreneurship/ Leadership/ Strategy/any program with special focus on Energy/ Renewables industry.

Can you kindly suggest which Colleges/ Universities I should look at. Would like to know both the dream and safe options. Thanks so much in advance !!!

Regards,
Sam

Hi Sam,

12 years of experience is on the high end for full time MBA programs. Have you ever considered part time or executive programs? Might be more appropriate given your experience level.

I would say that given your profile and criteria, you could try to target INSEAD - could be a slight reach, but it's a definite possibility. I don't know much about this program, but you should definitely look into it: The Energy MBA - - 1.5 year MBA in Lisbon/Columbia geared towards individuals committed to clean/renewable energy... http://ibs.iscte.pt/en/programmes/the-energy-mba. I'd say that Cornell and USC would be pretty good targets. Kellogg would probably be in the dream/stretch category... I would look at the European schools (IE, IMD, ESADE...) and see if you feel any are particularly strong in energy. Some good lists of accelerated MBAs can be found here:

Good luck,
