My perspective: I know my work experience is a bit diverse, which can cut both ways when it comes to my broader application. I would love to get your perspective on my push for Duke. Not totally certain if Duke is a reach given my background.

Duke likes alternative backgrounds and loves interesting stories. They are also really big on "fit" and it seems like you have several things in your background that do indeed fit well with the TeamFuqua culture. Definitely emphasize your extracurricular involvement, as Fuqua is big on students getting very engaged in the program both in and out of class. Great that you have demonstrated evidence of starting organizations and getting your hands dirty. The fact that you have a liberal arts background will also help you stand out amonst a sea of accountants, bankers and engineer applicants.
