I haven't really made up my mind whether to apply for Part Time program or Executive MBA. I am getting different opinions from different people. So, would like to know from the experts. I am looking at applying to Kellogg or Chicago Booth.

My Profile is

Current role - Project Manager in an IT company. Performing the role of a Program Manager for the past 3yrs. Working for a Retail CPG client for the past 5.5yrs.
Experience - 10yrs (4yrs in India and 6yrs in US)
Age - 33yrs
GMAT - Planning to take in Sep 1st week.
Career Goal - Would like to move into Management Consulting specifically in the Retail Industry.
Academics - 9.0 (Masters), 80% (Bachelors)
Other Activities - Actively involved in lot of initiatives within my current organization.
Community help - Not much due to lack of time (professional and family).

In terms of academic rigor, from what I know the part-time programs tend to be more similar to full-time programs (the curricula is very similar if not identical at some schools - it's just spread out over a longer period). Executive MBA programs tend to have a different curricula than full-time or part-time programs - they are known for being softer on the analytical/numbers side, and heavier on management type courses. Also, part-time tends to meet on weekdays, and exec programs meet on weekends (where more students fly in, so it's not as "local" as part-time programs). Part-time tends to have a wider age distribution - a good mix of young and older, whereas executive programs tend to have a narrower age distro (mostly mid career folks in their mid 30s to late 40s).
