Thanks for posting. I think your GMAT is plenty good enough--as an Indian applicant, yes you are expected to have a good GMAT score, but getting an additional 10 or 20 points will not likely get you any more than marginal attention. Your score is great, that's all you need to demonstrate in that category. As for looking like the typical applicant, I would say you have much in your story that can be leveraged to stand out. Just the fact that you work in the automotive industry and have done so with some top fortune 50 companies should help you distinguish your candidacy. Running multi-national teams is great experience, so you should emphasize the value this experience will have in the classroom. I like that your post MBA vision ties very believably into what you have done so far as well. This is often a good recipe for getting an adcom to buy into your goals--they seem realistic. Since you're targeting the automotive industry, you are wise to consider Michigan and Haas. For reapplicant essays, jsut make sure you demonstrate significant changes in your experience, leadership, maturity or other key area. Let us know if we can help.
