Planning to give GMAT in later this year

Wharton trends a little younger, but you are competitive at the other programs. For those schools that require the GMAT, clearly your score is also an important criterion. However company sponsorship is valued and will really help you.

Best,
Linda

Linda,

Thank you for evaluating my profile.

Can you tell me what should be the GMAT score I should aim for, if I am applying for the top 20?

Are the GMAT cutoff's same for EMBA and the traditional MBA programs?

Thanks,

Srikant,

Go in and do the best you can on the GMAT. Then deal with the results. In general, the EMBA programs put somewhat less weight on the GMAT than regular MBA programs. The EMBA programs usually weight your work experience more. However, Wharton's EMBA average GMAT is almost as high as the regular one. There is quite a range of average GMATs in the top 20 and an acceptable score for one person will not be the same for another, who perhaps did really well as an undergrad or conversely did poorly as an undergrad, or as an unusually impressive professional trajectory. IN fact, not all the EMBA programs require the GMAT.

Regards,
Linda
