I want to apply to the NYU (Stern) part time mba. My GMAT score is 690 (45q,40v). My GPA is 3.4. I am a 23 year old Panamanian citizen. I have been working as an analyst in a Private Equity firm for 1 year. I want to keep working while going to school twice a week after work. Do I have a chance of getting into the part time program? Thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for sharing your profile! I think there is a possibility, but I will say that you are quite young for an MBA. Generally speaking, even for part time programs, candidates have at least 3-7 years work experience. In part time programs, you see this average actually skews higher. So, that will likely be your biggest challenge - showing the ad com that you bring enough real world professional/leadership experience to the table to enhance the experience of other students. I also don't see any extracurricular or community leadership activities listed, which would be considered a weakness in your application. Are you open to waiting a couple years and then applying? You can also try now and reapply in the future if it doesn't work out.

Good luck!
