Hello,
I would love some feedback on my profile.
Education: Graduated undergrad from Mount Holyoke College with 3.8 GPA; Graduated with a Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases from Harvard
Work experience: 1 year to date as a healthcare specialist consultant at a mid-tier global management consulting firm
GMAT: 750
Extracurriculars: Scientific consultant to 2 vaccine-related start-ups, leader of one of the largest graduate student clubs at Harvard, leadership coach for a women's mentorship program
Career goals: In the short-term, work in a commercial role in pharma, eventually I plan to return to India and work in a healthcare related start-up
Target schools: MIT Sloan, Harvard, Wharton, Stanford
Questions:
Do these target schools seem reasonable?
I am concerned that I might not have enough pure work experience - do you think my PhD research experience will be considered relevant work experience?
What are areas to focus on to strengthen my application?
Thanks
I share your concern. Your academic stats and background are highly competitive, but your work experience may not be. You need to emphasize the business related aspects of your work: leadership, organization, negotiations, financial analysis, etc.
If you would like
help with your MBA application, please let me know.
Best,
Linda
