Profile Evaluation [#permalink]
30 Nov 2012, 10:27
Hello, Could you please evaluate my profile and suggest me colleges in which I can apply. I am from India and currently residing in the US. I am looking forward for 2 years full-time MBA in Corporate Finance.
GMAT - 660(M-47, V-35, AWA-5, IR-4) M.Tech in VLSI from Banasthali University – 74.5% B.Tech in ECE from UPTU – 75% 12th – 78.8% 10th - 75% Work Exp. – 3.8 years ( 2yrs as a validation engg. in Semiconductor Industry , then as a lecturer in University campus for an year and then as Recruiter and Marketing strategist for 9 months)
Decent extra-curricular activities. I would like to know whether my diverse work experience could affect my candidature? I am planning to apply to UF, University of Maryland, BYU-Marriott and UNC.
Your help would be highly appreciated!
Thanks and Regards!

Hi Sneha, You can also target the schools below with Avg. GMAT Range & % placement rate in finance: 1. Haas 630-740/25% 2. Duke 630-740/28% 3. SMU-Cox 560-710/46% 4. Cornell 620-740/39% 5. McCombs 620-730/34% 6. Tepper 630-740/36% 7. USC-Marshall 640-740/32% 8. Indiana-Kelley 590-700/34% 9. McDonough 640-730/35% 10. Wisconsin-Madison 620-720/42% Simultaneously, I would advise you to focus on your application essays. This is where you can demonstrate your headship qualities, accomplishments, professional vision and other aptitude. A well presented and perfectly written essay is entirely significant to make a strong case for yourself during the final interview and more so when you have an average GMAT scores. Hence, it is advisable to seek the aid of proficient consultants for guidance who can more closely review your situation and provide you with a list of B-Schools. You can try your chances of b-schools by clicking to the link http://www.general-ed.com/chances-of-bschoolFeel free to post any other doubt or concern that you might have. You can also PM me your number for brief discussion over your profile & selection of b-schools. Cheers!!
