Hi, Please evaluate my profile:
I am looking forward to an MBA for advisory/consulting roles. My experience and academics have been in the manufacturing sector and i intend to work in the same in the future. I'm agnostic about kind of company (small/large, consulting, start-up, venture capital). Only passionate about working in new things in the manufacturing sector.
GMAT: 710 Q48 V40 IR 6 (third attempt in 5 years, had got 710 and 680 earlier but the scores were too old for a couple of schools)
Education:
10th/12th/B.E (Mech): 90/80/70 %.
I was a serious cricketer through out and have played cricket for my city as well as league cricket for a club.
M.Eng in Manufacturing from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 2012 (finished in a year): GPA 7.3/9.0. I also took some classes at Ross and can vouch for the fact that its an awesome school !Research internship at the ISB (wrote a case study on the supply chain problems of the cricket bat
) My advisors were a Ross Professor and the head of Munjal Global Manufacturing Institute at ISB.
Work experience: 7 years
3 years in Strategy and Product Realization at Cyient, additonially lead the Additive Manufacturing efforts of my company and have received the Company's top performance award.I am also a Certified Systems Engineer from the International Council on Systems Engineering (applied when working on complex systems in aerospace, defense and medical industries)
4 years (before Post graduation) at Toyota as a Production Engineer, out of which 16 months is international experience in Toyota Motor Japan, on an inter Company Transfer.
I speak Japanese as well. Also, have a certificate of appreciation for helping to douse a fire.
Keen Social Enterprise enthusiast and blogger on topics of manufacturing. Two papers on additive manufacturingwhich have been co-authored will be published in Procedia and Springer link in the next month.
