You are right that quant score is a bit on the low side and that your quant heavy background could help address it. The decision to consider retaking the GMAT would depend on how much time you have to prepare and how confident you feel of doing better.
Either way, you need to be strong on the other parts of the application such as essays and recommendations. Showing accomplishments and high potential at a firm known for sending people to top programs should greatly help. Recommemders are usually asked to compare you to peers, so getting strong recommendations is important.
You would also want to highlight what makes you unique and stand out through your passions, interests, and outside activities.
