Hi,
I have given my second attempt of GMAT today, and have got 650. My first attempt was in 2013 Dec and I had got 640. I understand that 650 is not a great score. But after putting in so much effort, and not seeing the desired results I have decided that I will not give the GMAT again. I am thinking of doing MBA in India/Singapore or Canada. My college choices are -
1. NUS - Singapore
2. NTU - Singapore
3. University of Toronto - Rotman - Canada
4. Ivey Business School - Canada
5. Great Lakes - India
6. ISB - India
7. SP Jain - India
Please let me know for what all colleges I have a good chance among these. If there are some other colleges not in this list, for which my profile will be a good fit. Let me know
My profile is below
GMAT - 650
College - 9.71 (out of 10)
College Department Topper, University ranker for 3 years
Work - 2.5 years
8 months at Musigma and then almost 1.7 years at an analytics start up company in Chennai. Was the first employee in the company. 2 awards won at the company for outstanding work.
12th - 84.8% (CBSE)
10th - 87% (CBSE)
Why MBA?
I have plans of starting my own company. I am working with one of my friends to come up with a strategy plan of how to take things forward. The company will be in the "admission" space.
So I want to do an MBA preferably in entrepreneurship so that I can kick start my own venture.
Awaiting a revert for the same. Do let me know in case anything else is required
Thanks
Sailesh
Hi Shailesh,
Its going to be an uphill task at all your target b-schools, with your current GMAT score. Considering that your work experience is less at 2.5 years, I see absolutely no harm in waiting it out another year, if need be, retaking GMAT and applying with a stronger profile and better GMAT score.
