Thanks for posting. How fantastic that you spent nine months traveling! I am sure you saw and learned a lot of things during this time.
So based on the preliminary intel you have provided, I would encourage you to try the GMAT again if you think you can add 10+ more points. You have the luxury of time and it can only help you; it can't hurt you. 720 is right at the average of many top programs.
I love your extracurriculars! Please stay committed to them and seek out opportunities for leadership where possible.
The 3.3 GPA is a tad lower than I'd like to see. For the schools you are targeting, you're looking at averages of 3.6. Take a hard look at your transcript and look for trends. If you regularly did poorly in quantitative classes, try to mitigate that via a stats class. (And to be clear, get an A!)
With your current stats, I'd suggest adding Cornell to the list -- it will get you into investment banking and is a safer option for you.
