Profile evaluation- 740 gmat [#permalink] New post 08 Dec 2012, 04:26
Hi Linda,

Can you help evaluate my profile please?

GMAT score- 740
Academics- good, passed with distinction(over 70%) from a decent college, under Mumbai University
Work experience - 1.2 years currently ( but will be over 2 years before i apply), in a well known IT company
Extra curriculars- not much to speak of at all

I'm 23, female, from India.

I want to know if i'm being too ambitious in expecting to get an admit from one of the top B Schools in US. The lack of extra curriculars is worrying me. I would be applying for fall 2014, if at all.

Some guidance would be highly appreciated!

Thanks,
Krits

If you have only two years of work experience when you apply and limited extra-curriculars, the top U.S. business schools would be stretch programs because you will lack leadership both on the job and off. On the other hand, if you are not planning to apply until next Fall, you do have the time to get involved. Please see http://blog.accepted.com/2012/02/10/rou ... fographic/
