Hi Can you please evaluate my profile.
Demographics: Indian Male - 25 Yrs
Academics: BMS and M.Commerce from Mumbai University 60% throughout BMS and 45% in Masters Degree.
GMAT: 590 (Q 43, V28)
Work Experience: 3.5 Years Full Time experience in Operations - Securities operations in a major multinational bank Interior Design, Business Development - in a small civil contracting firm Advertising Account Management - in Y&R owned advertising Agency in India.
Want to do an MBA to shift career focus towards hardcore Brand Management.
GMAT - 590 (will retake the test)
Extra Curricular Activities - Have always been involved in College Festivals Organizing Committee, supervising the Creative department during these Festivals, Inter-college fests etc.
My target programs: Rutgers University, Concordia University, Penn State, San Diego State, UC Irvine, Pittsburgh (Katz)
My Question is: What are the best schools I can apply with this background, my immediate post MBA goal is to work in Marketing/Brand Management.

I do think Rutgers would be a viable target program. UCI would probably be quite a stretch. I don’t know the others well and so I can’t comment on those.
One concern I had in reading your profile is a very wide ranging career, which seems to lack focus/direction – although you’re now building on your marketing experience to pursue and MBA in brand management, which is great. Please carefully construct your story in your application to make it as coherent as possible. Good luck! _________________
