Dear Mrs. Blackman,

thanks for the time spent reviewing numerous enquiries.

Hi bgpower,

You have some strong aspects to your application. Here are some comments regarding what you have written:

1. In your application, MBA admissions teams will not be concerned about your High School record.
2. Although internship experience is valuable, admissions teams will be focused on your work experience post-graduation (I am not sure if the internship experience you wrote occurred while you were still in school).
3. I recommend prioritizing which schools you are interested in, as opposed to considering all top programs. As an example, if you know you are interested in pursuing finance, then attending a school in New York (NYU Stern, Columbia), or in the North East would be a good choice. On the same note, schools in Northern California are known for their proximity and close relationships to technology companies. The programs you choose to apply to, even the very top ones, provide different opportunities post-graduation.
4. I recommend studying hard for the GMAT (A 730 is a good goal), and also identifying which aspects of your candidacy you would like an admissions team to see. What few points do you want them to take away from reading your application?

Hope this was of help.

Cheers,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team

Dear Conrad,

thank you for the fast and informative reply.

I am aware thath I have to improve or develop my post-graduate work experience and I intend to do this prior to applying. As I have finished my Master's degree in February 2011, I have only few months of post-graduate experience, but this will change. As I have written I am preparing for MC interviews in autumn. Do you see any other significant weaknesses of my future application according to you experience. What comes short and should be a topic I should focus on in the next months?

Though I do have my personal preferences regarding the different MBA-Programs, I wanted to hear your opinion regarding the options, which are in front of me, if I apply now. As I previously said, I will try to improve some problematic areas, in order to include some first tier business schools. Generally, if I had to commit myself in this very moment, I would have chosen programs with a strategic and financial background (as you said - Stern and Columbia would be good here). But if technology-oriented schools could also attract me in future. I really have to think it thourgh.

Do you think my origins would be a small advantage as there shouldn't be that much applicants from Eastern Europe as from India, China and this would contribute to the cultural diversity?
Can you give me a brief note on your consulting activities and their price. What is the procedure for the essay preparation etc.? (If you want on PM)

Thanks in advance!
