Re: Profile evaluation : fall 2010 [#permalink]
mongolia,

Given your entrepreneurship goals, you should consider the following (you'll probably be competitive at all of them): Babson (often ranked #1 in entrepreneurship), USC, Indiana, Texas, UNC, and Wisconsin. These are all strong schools.

I reject the idea that the only schools worth getting an MBA at are the top 10 schools. First, not all of the good business schools are as expensive at the top 10 schools; second, there are many schools outside the top 10 that are strong in particular fields or in particular geographic regions, so can earn good salaries at these schools right out of the program.

Good luck,

Re: Profile evaluation : fall 2010 [#permalink]
mongolia,

You need to significantly improve your leadership and impact at work and outside of work in order to break into the top 10. I don't have a lot of detail on your profile but your biggest issue will be standing out from the pack given your demographic as an applicant and leadership. The problem with waiting is you will start to move out of the typical age range B-schools admit. If you won't go to b-school unless you get into a top school, then, yes, wait and do everything you can to strengthen your profile (obviously your GMAT is fine).

Good luck,
