Hello:
First of all thanks for taking the time to look at the post. Really appreaciate it!
I scored 670 in GMAT about 5 years ago and I did my Masters in Information Systems. I have been working ever since. I have about 4.5 years work experience.
I just started preparing for GMAT and I would like to give it in Apr/May. I am aiming for a 720+ score.
My Profile:
Female, 25
Indian - working in USA for the last 3 yrs
Undergrad: Electronics and Electrical Engg. (GPA: 3.82)
Masters: Information Systems (GPA: 3.48)
Work Exp: I am currently the Team Lead of two IT projects in my company. I was the Project Manager of a project last year and got good reviews for my work. I can get good recommendations letters from my employers. I also have some Professional Certifications - Project Mgmt Professional, Microsoft Cerified Master (MCM).
Extra Curricular: I was involved in some volunteer activities in the past but over the last one year, I havent done much.
Since I already have a Masters degree, I am aiming for the top B schools. Is that a good thing?
I want to appy for HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg. Am I aiming too high or do you think if I get above 700, the schools are reasonable?
Please let me know.
Thanks.
You certainly have a chance at those programs, but what will really determine whether you are accepted is not whether you earn a 700 or a 740 on your
GMAT, but whether you can show
leadership, impact, and initiative on the job and off.
Best,
Linda
