-- Jul'05 to Mar'09 --> Software Engg/Team Lead in a major Indian IT firm. 1 yr international exp. Promoted to lead role in less than 2 yrs. Quit job to help family in establishing the biz

5) Extracurriculars:
-- In college - many such as event management, club secretary and hostel committee
-- Post-coll - few - within my company. But recently founded a new biz and guided family members to take over the responsibilities. Also tutor cousins at home (apprx 2-4 hrs a week)

6) Short/Long term goals:
-- Develop affordable and energy efficient household products. Work in India and then expand into other emerging/developing nations in long term.

7) Schools:
-- Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT

You have a competitive profile for all the above, but these are very tough competitive schools. I suggest you also apply to a few programs that are a little less competitive.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you are a competitive candidate at Tuck and Chicago. Both schools would have serious concerns about your ability to handle the communications demands of studying in an English language program. You need to raise your verbal score and probably broaden your target list. You may also want to consider a Masters in Finance if you really want to focus on technical finance; the focus in these programs is on your quant skills. They are more forgiving of low verbal scores.
