There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
Thanks for your post. Your GMAT score is in the range for your target programs. Your GPA is on the lower side, but it is in a challenging major/university. Could you show any progression in your GPA in your junior/senior year or any reason your GPA is a 3.0? If so, you could address in an Optional essay. You could also take a quantitative class (and ace it), as one more data point of your academic ability if you have concerns. In terms of your work experience, you will want to demonstrate your accomplishments and leadership abilities. You want to grow with the family business, but you will want to more clearly define your short and long term path in the company. Since it is a family business, you want to demonstrate that this path makes sense and you have earned the growing responsibility. Think about what you need to learn to pursue this path and why these programs in particular are the best fit for you. Is your family business in Canada? If so, you want to be clear why a European program – are you considering expansion in that area? Think about why that fit makes sense.
The admissions committees are well-versed in many programs/degrees as it relates to GPAs. If you want to address any concerns about your ability to manage a heavily quantitative workload, you could consider a calculus, statistics or linear algebra class. In order to show an aptitude for management studies, you might want to consider taking an accounting, economics or corporate finance class. Schools vary on their views of online classes - some do prefer in person. What is most important is that you get As in these courses to show not only that you have the aptitude but also that you take your academics quite seriously.
You may want to check with the programs about their take on online courses. In terms of sending your GMAT scores, you will want to be sure you get those in before the application deadlines. You will need to order through Pearson VUE. According to GMAC, Score Reports are typically sent within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the request, but non-U.S. test takers should allow for a longer delivery time. Make sure you order early so you do not delay your application.
