First of all, you do not know if you will be admitted unless you try. Given your background and accomplishments, you are considered a strong candidate on many fronts. However, my biggest concern for you is your age -- and while we have seen candidates of your age accepted to both programs, it is significantly harder gaining admissions at this stage than it would have been a decade earlier. Most business schools look for 36 year old candidates to apply to their EMBA program for a number of reasons -- namely that your peer group is really more your peer group. Next, older candidates have a harder time transitioning to new careers and admissions does take this into consideration as they do not want you to invest all this time, effort and money and end up an unhappy customer. From an admissions perspective, these are the two major hurdles that you have to overcome.
If you do decide to apply, you have to make sure that your application, recommendations and interview are perfect. Admissions has higher expectations for their mature candidates and this means you have to deliver. Thus, I recommend that you invest the time, energy and resources in making sure that everything is up to standards.
