Hello all,

I wrote GMAT exam today got 700(Q50,V34,IR6), although i was expecting 710.

I have 4+ years of experience so it will be around 5 years while applying to ISB.

I work with John Deere India (Leading agricultural equipment manufacturer), hope all Americans know JD very well. Passed out of NIT jaipur in mechanical engineering with 3.3 GPA.

Please evaluate all this and tell me whether 700 is enough so that i can concentrate on Interview part or should i retake the GMAT as 700 with my profile is not enough.

Also please advise for other Indian B-schools IIMs , XLRI, S.P. Jain

Don't feel bad, 700 is still a good score. With that score and your work experience at John Deere + your good GPA, I am sure that with my help, you will be able to find the best school which fits your needs. I am nirmal pant. Please evaluate my profile.

GMAT aspirant.
Target year for ISB : 2016
I am bank officer (operation ) at ICICI Bank with 2.4 lkh p.a. salary package having 1 year of experience.

academic :
HSC : 74 % (CBSE)
SSC : 67% (CBSE)
Graduation : 80% (BCA)


Please suggest.

For IIMs (getting into via GMAT) you experience is well below their average and the GMAT score is low. For ISB, you experience (quantity) is good. Also you work for John Deere, then I guess you must be a mechanical graduate. So you are out of the IT pool, which is good. You can apply for ISB though the GMAT score is a tad below average. But given your profile and essays, that you will have to write, you will get an interview call. I am no expert, just sharing my experience from R2 this year.

Hope this helps. I dont know much about XLRI's and SP Jain's MBA programs through GMAT.

Get a GMAT score above ISB average GMAT score, and get more work experience 3 years plus is advised. Else you must be able to convince the interview panel and the adcom (through essays) as to why do you need MBA at this particular time, because they will tell you to get more work ex.
