I know!
Maybe I wasn't clear but what I meant was BECAUSE these are programs for people with no work experience, your GMAT becomes an all important measure (more so than regular MBA programs, in which you can get a 500 on a GMAT but if you have founded a 100 million$ business noone will care)

cold truth!

What GMAT score you reckon should be competitive enough? I don't mind retaking but there are a lot of if and buts involved.

Also, let's say I retake and get more or less same score. Will
that have a significantly negative effect on my app?

Well I assume from your post that you were mock testing 720-730. I would say 720 is a good minimum for you, although of course anything higher would be blessed and welcome!
:)

If you get the same score, it doesn't really look any worse, although you will have a tough time with the schools you mentioned. But for other programs it could be good. Just try not to get 30 points less! :)
