Profile Evaluation - GMAT 670 [#permalink] New post 02 Jun 2012, 03:11
Hi,

Could you please let me know what chances I stand in terms of applying to US B-Schools for a full time MBA course? My GMAT score is 670 (Quants-49 and Quants-31).

I have 7 years or work experience in IT industry. Of these 7 years, 5 years were in India and 2 years in US. Currently I am working as an IT Business Development and Pre-Sales Consultant and frequently travel to US for client discussions and meetings. I performed community services for 4 years, with 2 years in the US (Kenneth Young Center and American Cancer Society) and 2 years in India (I continue to do so in India). I have won multiple awards in sports and academic competitions during school and college (including awards at national and state level).

Please suggest what all colleges I should apply to in the US.

Thanks,
Pans

My suggestions is to always first check out the US News rankings:

Then pick schools which are about 20 points above your GMAT and a few points above your GPA - these are schools you can consider as reaches but achievable, and should maybe dedicate 2 apps to. Then dedicate 3 or 4 other apps to schools which are within your range and which you could definitely reach.
