Smooth Navigator-
I attended Tuck with a classmate who was a Merchant Ship Captain! Also, not American.
My concern in your application is the distance learning. You want to be sure to prove how it is fully accredited. You will want to find a way to turn this into a positive in your application.
You have a very focused post-MBA career goal, which is excellent, unique and compelling. This should be a highlight in your application. Be specific as to how getting an MBA Now is going to take you on the path to the goal. Also, your line about reaching dreams at any age is excellent.
Per your request, my rating of your chances with your target list:
COMPETITIVE
1) Harvard ( DREAM)-
2) Stanford
3) Wharton
4) MIT / Sloan
5) Kellogs
6) Columbia
7) Chicago Booth
8) Tuck
9) NYU Stern
10) Yale
11) Haas
12) INSEAD
DONT KNOW
13) Mccombs
SAFE
14) Rice/ Jones
15) Duke
Best of Luck!
Hi Courtney Jane,
Thanks for the evaluation and advise.
Regading why Distance learning : Due to peculiar nature of my job, I had to travel all across the globe over sea and land to keep up my professional commitments. Although I never needed the B.S. for my job, I did it to enhance my knowledge. Further studying MBA was always in my scheme.
I dont know how to show the course is fully accredited, apart from the fact the original degree and transcript . But I do remember that out of 100 guys who joined the program, 70 left because of demanding and taxing nature of the program.
Tks and rgds
