I am probably doing this a little early. but I just took the GMAT this morning and I am thinking about retaking it. But before I jump to conclusion I wanted to share my profile get some thoughts on whether or not I should retake the GMAT and if the school I am aiming for are reasonable or a reach.

I immigrated from Africa to France when I was 11 and I have been a French citizen ever since. I've done all my education in France and a Foreign exchange program in the US. I have been living in the US for the past 5 years and I am now a Permanent resident. I guess I wouldn't be consider an international applicants anylonger. This worries since I would be competing with native speakers and my verbal wasn't great at all.

I did a "Classes Preparatoires & Grande Ecoles" cursus in France (very specific to the french educational system) and graduated from the ENAC - french leading school in aeronautical sciences, with a master's in Aeronautical sciences. WES evaluated my grades to a 3.53 GPA. I saw that most school don't require WES evaluation and complete the evaluation themselves. I wonder if they would get to a similar GPA evaluation.

The 3 semesters Foreign Exchange program I completed awarded me a Master of science in Aviation, Airport development and Management, I got a GPA of 3.04.

Work Experience

I have been working for the past 4 years as an Airport consultant, and have been promoted to senior consultant just recently. I worked on several projects across the US and a few in Abu Dhabi and Beijing.

Extra Curricular

while in college I was part of a student organization that organizes one of the biggest airshow in France (over 20,000 visitors every year). I was the manager of one of the division that included 11 members
I am a junior achievement volunteer and a member of Non-profit organization leadership council - we organize fundraisers event and donate money to HQ.
I am also a Toastmasters club member, to improve my public speaking abilty

GMAT: 46Q, 31V. My verbal score worries me a lot. This was my first time taking the GMAT and feel like I could do better

MBA Program

I would love to continue my growth in the aviation indusrty and work for airlines, in the finance or strategy field. I am planning on entering school in Fall of 2014 and targeting: UT McCombs, UNC Kenan-Fagler, Michigan Ross, UCLA Anderson, Kellogg, Booth, Duke Fuqua, Virginia Darden

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am probably doing this early, but I feel like your feedback could pinpoint some areas I need to work on before the application period in Fall 2013.

Thank you for your time

Hi patson,

Thanks for posting. If you feel you can improve your score greatly, I recommend you retake the GMAT. The reason is that your highest score is self-reported on your application, so admissions teams will focus on your best score. There is no harm to taking the test again.

If you decide to take the GMAT again, here are some free tips:
