Profile evaluation - GMAT 710, WE 8 years [#permalink] New post 04 Oct 2012, 12:45
Hello Team,

I have scored 710 in GMAT in my second attempt and I am starting to prepare my MBA applications. Here are my profile details:
GMAT: 710
Toefl : 109
GPA :3.0
Extra-curricular : I teach software courses, I work as a event organizer for a small social group and there are various other activities at school / college level.

Work Exp : 8 years in software industry for financial bank, in USA past 4 years. I have worked in various roles as developer, tech arch, project leader, business analyst.
I am looking to continue in the same industry with better role/ responsibility. Based on my experience and interest I might consider majoring in finance, technology management or information systems.

Right now I planning to apply for : GA tech, Emory

Can you please advise on few more schools that I can consider applying. I am looking for decent school with a chance of getting a scholarship or an assistantship.

Thanks in advance.

With your vast work experience, US work, and very nice GMAT you are in very good shape for the two schools you are looking at. Of course, the best way to increase your chances for scholarship/fellowship/etc. is apply to as many schools as you ca.

Looking at your goals, and what sort of program you seem to be going for I'd suggest having a look at: Madison, Mays, Arizona State, Marshall
(though to be honest, there are plenty of other excellent choices out there)

Hope this helps you get your list kicked off.
Best,
