Hello, and sorry for the notable delay!
1. There is unfortunately a certain degree of stereotyping that exists in the business world. Which isn't to say that this will inhibit you at all! Business schools are aware of the stereotyping that exists in the professional world, which is why they generally look at applications overall, rather than at any one factor. You have a strong GMAT score and work experience, which is what you should focus on. Play to your strengths and the leadership experience you've had to show that you're a viable business candidate, more than just your technical proficiency.
2. This is not always true. It depends on the program, and it depends on the applicants they receive. No school will give out all of their full scholarships in the first round if they aren't convinced that these are the best possible candidates, which is rarely the case. That being said, it does get harder to get accepted if you wait until the final rounds, because many of the spots will already be filled. Schools want to make sure they have the most options available, so they will frequently wait list in the second round to see if anybody stellar comes through after that.
3. If you think that your max score is relatively close to your current one, it may not be in your best interest to take the test again, both for the time and money involved, but also for the chance that you will underperform.
Let us know what you think, and good luck!
