Have decent extracurricular activities and organisation level activities but they may not show up my leadership capabilities.
I want to do 2 year full time MBA ,preferably in Consulting or HR
Kindly please suggest some good colleges which i can target for my profile. Also let me know of my chances of getting into NUS Singapore and good colleges in Asia with this profile.
Thanks & Regards,
Thanks for writing at the forum.
The selection of college depends on
1) Region : the region/continent that you wanna settle post MBA.
2) Industry : the industry/function that you wanna settle post MBA
In your case, there are challenges that you have to tackle
1) Lower work experience - Your experience is lower than the average experience at the schools that you are targeting, the lower experience can be compensated with excellent quality of experience. The function - software engineer - as a profile is very common as far as indian applicants is concerned, so you ought to have some element in your work ex that can help you prove that u are better than the others from the same pool
2) An over represented pool - differentiate your profile from other equally qualified candidates with same profile.
Just dont think that you wanna do MBA with XYZ electives, analyze your career goals and then go ahead with the specialization.
Your GMAT is fit for all the asian b-schools, but remember that asian b-schools except ISB have relatively small cohorts, so the app process is very competitive for profiles like you
The good news is that you have extra curriculars in hand, so you may use these experiences to exhibit your leadership skills, if any
Overall, you have to be very sharp at expressing yourself in your essays
Hope this helps
