You are applying appropriately given your qualifications. I can't recommend schools without knowing what you want to do post-MBA.

Best,
Linda

You have a competitive profile for your target programs. Schools that are friendly to younger applicantsinclude Stanford, Chicago, and CMU Tepper.

Best,

Hi Linda,

Does Kellogg appreciate their alumni's recommendations more than others ?

Apart from my immediate supervisor, I am torn between choosing two Managers... One who knows me for two years and another who is a Kellogg alumnus and knows me for only 5 months. (But i can ask him to write about my fit in Kellogg)

Thanks for your advice

It's not just a matter of how long the person knows you. The question is whether they have had significant experience supervising you and are capable of and willing to write a strong letter of recommendation. That matters more than alumni status.

All things being equal, go with the alum. But if the non-alum will write a meatier letter, then choose the non-alum.

Best,
Linda
