Thanks for your post. You are part of a large applicant pool (Indian engineering applicants), which is often a challenge because you need to make sure you stand out from the crowd and get noticed... you'll want to play up everything and anything that makes you unique.
From reading your profile, though, I do feel you have some potential starting points that can help differentiate from other similar applicants.... in particular, your US and international experiences, sounds like solid leadership and management experience in your professional life, and the project on the earthquake/tsunami recovery could be an interesting one to discuss. You also have strong academics for sure, and the GMAT is adequate (no, wouldn't recommend another re-take at this point... you could better spend your time on your applications and essays, for more potential impact).
You'll still have an up-hill battle at the top-ranked schools, just because they are SO competitive, and get so many strong applicants, many with similar profiles. So you'll want to do some brainstorming about what you think are the experiences, skills, traits, etc that make you who you are, and someone with a lot to contribute to the class.
Within your essays, you also want to have clear goals, and a clear rationale for why you need the MBA, and to demonstrate a 'fit' with each program.
As for schools, those 5 programs will be challenging for you, to be honest. I can see more of a 'fit' with MIT perhaps, so that's a plus, and perhaps INSEAD with your international experiences and interests and consulting interests as well. Wharton may be the toughest on your list, though all are very competitive. For lower-ranked programs to consider, in the US, maybe Fuqua, Tepper, Ross? Or Georgia Tech? Really depends on what you are looking for in a school. For international programs, you could look at Said, Judge, HEC. May also depend on where in the world you'd like to study.
