Hi,

I'm a portuguese student currently in my last year of an economics major. I would like your opinion regarding if I have a good chance of getting in the following programs:
1)MFE Oxford University
2) MIF HEC Paris
3)MPhil Finance Cambridge

Details:

1) GPA 17.4/ 20 - I have 22 As (out of 24) - here an A is 10% best grades
2) currently 3rd in my class (out of 300)
3)summer internship PwC - Tax
4) GMAT - 760 (Q48;V46)
5) CV with a lot of extra curricular activites- from sports, to science olympiads, languages and music


On of my main worries is my GMAT score, mainly the quantitative. To what degree can it be offset by great grades in math subjects/math olympiads? (or should I retake GMAT)

Hi Marta,

Unfortunately I am not an expert on evaluating profiles for the programs you listed - I'd hate to give you a wrong opinion. This forum is specifically for those applying to MBA programs.

That said, I'm confused by your concern. Your GMAT score is very high - a 760 is a dream score for most people. Can you tell me the percentiles on each section? Please let me know if I am misunderstanding something or if maybe there was a typo below. If you scored a 760 on the GMAT, you are in VERY good shape in that department!
