Hi gmatrockss,
Overall you are well positioned for the schools on your target list which I agree would be strong choices for you given your unique background and educational needs. You could benefit from having a GMAT score 20 or 30 points higher, but your current score is still very good, especially when combined with your high GPA.
The one area in which your profile is lacking is in volunteer/community service work. You should find a non-profit organization with which you can connect, and get involved as soon as possible, preferably with a leadership role, such as serving on a junior board or heading up a strategic initiative.
Family businesses can also be quite tricky to handle on your MBA applications, especially since recommendations from family members are discouraged. My colleagues at
Stratus Prep and I have a lot of experience successfully navigating this issue for our clients, and I would be happy to discuss this further with you if you are interested in working with us on your applications. We have helped international applicants from family businesses with profiles less strong than yours into MIT so I believe that we can really be of assistance if you are looking to collaborate with an admissions consultant on your applications to these schools.
The schools on your list that I think would be the best fit for you would obviously be MIT and Kellogg because they have the strongest operations programs combined with exceptional leadership training.
Good luck!
Shawn
