Hi,

Many thanks for your advice on this profile.

1) Work experience: clinical pharmacist (1 year), PhD in pharmaceutical sciences (3.5 years), community pharmacy (1 year), assistant professor at a top European pharmacy school (3 years).

2) GMAT: 720 (Q49, V39). This is my first attemp. In all practice runs I scored 740-750 (Q49 and V42-44). Should I retake?

3) College info: Top Pharmacy School in UK, No GPA (1st class honours (i.e. 4?)), Major: pharmacy, year of graduation: 2003. Grad: PhD, top UK university, no GPA. completed 2008.

4) extra-curriculars: president of a student society/club. Established and lead campain group that was featured by major media outlets (TV). Senior strategic advisor on a successful election campain (local elections). Bilingual

5) Important certifications: Pharmacy

6) Target programs: HBS, Stanford, LBS (also considering Booth - please suggest other top ones that you think would be a good fit).

7) Management in Pharma for a few years then NGO leadership.

Please feel free to add any further advice/information that you deem useful.

Thank for your post.

I don't think you should retake the GMAT. Your score is competitive and when combined with your other academic credentials, your academic strengths are obvious.

You certainly have a chance at these programs, but Harvard and Stanford are particularly tough. While not much easier, I see a better fit at Wharton and MIT. You may also want to consider Haas, Duke, Yale, or the accelerated MBA at Cornell.

If you would like help with your MBA applications, please let me know.

Best,
Linda
