Hello,
If you could evaluate my profile, I would greatly appreciate it.
1) Work Experience: 2 Years of Audit Experience at Big 4 accounting firm working. 3 Years of Transaction Services Advisory experience in valuations.
2) Undergraduate: University of Illinois - Champaign 3.5GPA Major-Accountancy, Deans List, Member of Finance Club and Accounting Society
3) GMAT: 700 (Q44 V41)
4) Licensed CPA. Extracurricular's include Junior Achievement and a volunteer advisor for Project xACT accounting projects at undergraduate schools.
5) Target Schools: Kellogg, Wharton, Booth, Yale, Harvard
Am I a candidate at these schools, or will my average quant score hold me back? Is it worth retaking the test to try and boost my quant score, or will my professional experience help balance out my quant score? Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
I believe you are aiming a
little high. You're not nuts, but unless your work experience show truly impressive progression or leadership, I think you are aiming too high. Yes a higher quant score and overall
GMATwould help but please realize that even a higher GMAT would not ensure acceptance at the schools you are aiming for, especially if you are aiming for R3 this year. If you are talking about next year, I do encourage you to retake the GMAT and to assume leadership roles between now and the fall.
