my profile is as follows;

Wrk ex - 3.5 yrs
My post mba goal is to join management consulting but I am open to all the options, I am even sure that if I stay in the same field an MBA would be beneficial.

CGPA - 6.69/10 in Mech. Eng. from BITS Dubai
School - X - 82% XII - 82%
EC's - Have been an integral part of sports and cultural organizing committees throughout, in my office have been a part of the cricket team and played in 2 intra-company football tournaments.
I dont want to do it from MENA region, as job placements are a main concern for me. So my focus on the placements. It would be very helpful if you could advice me.

Hey there!
Thanks for dropping us a line. So let's cut straight into it. right now, from what you have written here, you seem to have a pretty "middle-of-the-road" profile. Your GMAT is probably your current weak point, and I think that if you believe you could get higher, this would be your most valuable investment of time (plus you have eight months to study!!!) So I definitely recommend retaking the GMAT.

If you were to apply with your current score, I'd say US B-schools ranked about 30-60 would be your range. Keep in mind though, that consulting is one of the few industries in which your potential employers WILL look at your GMAT, so once again, I'd say this indicates that a GMAT retake would be super-useful for you.
