Hi,

Thanks for sharing your profile - very interesting! I think overall it's pretty strong. Great professional experience, good community activity, and pretty good scores. Your verbal seems slightly low - out of curiosity, what was the percentile breakdown on your GMAT? It shouldn't make a material difference since it's verbal and not quant that is weak.

I think that Wharton, Haas, Kellogg, Columbia, INSEAD and LBS are great target programs. I would say that Sloan and HBS are going to be reaches, and hopefully NYU is a safer bet (though it's quite competitive - you might want to add another safety to your list).

You could certainly try for R3 this year... chances are never great in R3, but you have a pretty strong profile, so I think you have a chance. Go for it - what do you have to lose? Can always reapply next year if it doesn't work out this time.

Good luck,
Mili

Thanks!

I plan to apply 1-2 schools in round 3. I know that my chances are low but i really should go to school this year since I'm 28 turning 29.
I know that adcoms can also be biased against international candidates in third round. I intend to play up my Thai nationality and my crippling nerve disease(which delayed my bschool app process).
I know lots of Asian candidates with finance backgrounds apply, but I can differentiate myself as an international student.
My math GMAT score is actually lower (73percent) compared to my verbal(88percent) however I did well in my masters in finance.
I'm interested in haas but I know it is a small program with one of the lowest admissions rate.
