Hi!
I JUST finished the GMAT and scored a 750. I know it's crazy to not be happy with this score, but I'd done better on the GMATPrep tests, especially in quant. According to the unofficial score report my 47's get me a 99th% for verbal and a 68th% for quant.
My GPA from undergrad was low at a 3.0, but I was at top 10 US program and majored in Economics, doing solidly but not amazingly in my quant classes. Mostly I had some medical issues during school which created some very erratic semesters and I ended up taking a medical leave of absence near the end of my time there, which I can explain/own-up-to in my optional essay.
However, my lower quant score makes me a bit concerned given my not awesome GPA. Is this something I should worry about?
My work experience is good, I work in market-strategy consulting with fortune 500, 100, and 50 clients and have a leadership role despite only working for 3 years (3 promotions). My extracurriculars are okay, not amazing but they tell a consistent story (dance & healthcare)
I'm white and female.
My target schools are Darden, Ross, Columbia, Cornell, and McCombs. I want to either go into strategic marketing in the healthcare industry or healthcare management.
My brain may be fried at the moment, but should I retake the GMAT to try for a higher quant percentile score? I feel like people are always saying not to retake if you hit the 700 mark, but 68th% doesn't sound good to me.
Thanks!
