Chirag,
This might not be the answer you are looking for, but the best way to strengthen your profile is to get a few more years under your belt in the work force. Three years of experience is often just fine in the current b-school climate, but there is more to age/WE than just the forward-looking aspect. You also have to consider how much track you are laying down between undergrad and your application. The closer college is in the rearview mirror, the more stock a b-school is going to put in your GPA. If more time elapses and it comes with more work success (great projects, promotions, etc.), any maturity/focus questions provoked by a sub 3.0 GPA will start to wash away a bit.
The GPA issue is going to be a tough one regardless though. When the time does com to apply, I encourage you to consider a lot of programs, because you are going to need one of them to reach down quite a bit.
What are your career goals and what types of programs are you focused on? Those will be critical elements as well.
Keep me posted on how I can help going forward.
Respectfully,
Paul Lanzillotti
