Hi Everyone,
Just got done with my GMAT, and boy o boy am I glad I don't have to lug around all those GMAT prep books everywhere I go. It was a successful day, 700 with 76% on quant and 83% on verbal, so I am looking to see whether my target schools are solid, wishful thinking, or perhaps I should aim higher. Here are the basics:
26/M, American 700 GMAT (76% quant, 83% verbal, 90% overall) 3.8 GPA from Fordham (top 50ish in USA last I checked) in international econ/business admin Worked 4 years as a consultant for a company that helps Swedish SMEs establish in the U.S. Also did a 3 month stint in Saudi Arabia for the company helping SMEs from Sweden go there (very unique I believe) Extracurriculars: Run marathons, recently spent time volunteering for tornado relief, had two travel writing articles published High Conversational (not quite fluent) Spanish language, will try doing some microfinance volunteer work in South America pre-MBA program to shore it up.
So, with that in mind, here is where I would like to go:
Target ESADE, IESE, London Business
Safety Copenhagen Business, UCD Smurfit
Pie in the Sky Dreaming Tufts Fletcher (for an MIB), Stanford
Let me know if this is a good target of schools and whether my profile would be competitive. Any feedback, good or bad, is much appreciated.
Thanks,
JD
