Profile evaluation ... ready for H/W?

I tried a few late-round applications this year (Stern, CBS, LBS, INSEAD) and had a 100% success rate. Now I'm asking myself whether I was shooting too low. Do I have a shot at H/W (I don't see fit with S)?

  • European male, 25-30 yo
  • BSc + MSc in tech/math/science-heavy fields, unknown local schools, 2x best graduate with best possible grade (we don't have GPA)
  • GMAT 750 with high IR/AWA (1st and only try)
  • FT post-university work experience: 1 year in science and 2-3 years in MBB consulting
  • Extracurriculars: weak-medium (some community, but no leadership roles and no exciting achievements)
  • Goals: break into finance/PE (did not mention short-term career change aspirations in previous apps)

Hey dude,
I think from MBB with a 750 you would have a shot. But then the question is, with schools like LBS and CBS (both of which can surely get you to your goals) is it worth it for you to reject definite admits to go for something that may or may not happen.. (I don't know what your decision was regarding your matriculation). And really, that's more of a personal decision than one I can advise you on. Is HBS more prestigious? No doubt. Can you get a great PE job from CBS/LBS? No doubt.

Oh dude. A job at MBB. And getting in everywhere last year!
Life does NOT suck. (although you are probably working way way way too hard. (Don't go into entrepreneurship either though ;) ).
