Hello Krishna, thanks for your question.

Your GMAT is fine, and your undergraduate GPA is slightly low. You come from an overrepresented demographic that typically has high GMAT scores and GPAs , so these will not be the strengths of your application.

You have strong work experience with your start up. I recommend drawing on “moments” where you truly led, influenced others, drove results under tough circumstances, or took the initiative to differentiate yourself. Managing a cricket team is fine, but to the degree that you can demonstrate your leadership in that arena, the more you will set yourself apart.

You haven’t spoken about post-MBA goals, which is a crucial piece of the application. How exactly will you use the MBA? Do your future goals connect with your past and current experience? The more compelling and cohesive your story, the more persuasive your case will be with the admissions committees.

Wharton and Booth are the most “friendly” to older applicants like you. If you can differentiate yourself in the aforementioned ways, I think you could have a shot at the first 3 programs you list. You’ll be more competitive at the latter 4.

Best of luck,
Brian
