I am a south-asian male, working here in Chicago for the past 4 years. I'd like to make round 3 deadlines for Booth's FT MBA. Would greatly appreciate if you could evaluate my profile:
GMAT: 760
MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette (3.75/4 GPA)
Activities: President, Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue
Undergrad: Electronics and Communication Engineering, Anna University, India (4/4 GPA), Ranked: 2 out of 133 students
WorkEx: Close to 4 years in a HF Trading firm, as an algorithms/applications developer
Extra-Curricular activities: Performing musician, performed all across India and over 10 cities in the US
--------
Would be very thankful if you could provide some feedback. Thanks!
I'm assuming you had high grades in college too. Everything you write above would make you a highly competitive applicant at Booth. The fly in the ointment obviously is the round 3 aspect of it. Go for it. They do accept people round 3, but the more common the profile the less likely the acceptance. Can you great qualifications overcome the fairly common profile, there's only one way to find out.
Please let us know if you would like
help with your application.Best,
Linda
