Hello,

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Target Schools: Tuck, Kellogg, Booth, Fuqua, Ross, Darden

GMAT:
700 - Q47/V39

Education:
Undergraduate BBA from Emory University
3.2 GPA (I know this is low, but nothing I can do now)
Several good leadership and extracurricular

Experience (5+ years at matriculation):
1. 2 years at entrepreneurial tech firm. Promotion and employee of the year award. 50% delivering projects to client managers as a PM working with graphic designers and programmers at a fully owned office in India. 50% managing the operations of the business, working on strategy and developing products/marketing.

3. Working at Fortune 500 HR Consulting Firm with 2 promotions in <3 years
a. Consultant delivering technology based projects to large clients in restaurants, logistics and manufacturing
b. Promoted to do strategy & special projects for internal Finance
c. Promoted to manager in Global operations
Recognized as high performer (top 1%)

Reason for MBA now:
Already in a role where my peers are significantly older and want to accelerate development of leadership skills and further develop technical skills. Want to transition into more traditional management consulting and eventually start my own business (I recognize that this is a very typical story, so I am working on my approach).

Extracurricular:
Multiple boards for youth organizations in Jewish communicate; board of First Tee

Although your plans may be more "typical," when compared with other Indian applicants you will likely stand out having completed your UG degree from a top 10 business program in the US. Your GMAT score is good and you seem involved outside of work. I think you would have a shot at your target schools as long as your application is thoughtful and compelling. How you cast your story is important so I am glad to hear you are working on your approach from the perspective of comparing it to similar backgrounded applicants.
