Profile Evaluation Request. [#permalink] New post 12 Aug 2013, 17:03
Hi,

I just took my gmat and here are some details about me:

UnderGrad degree: Engineering in electronics and telecommunication.
GPA: 3
Work Exp: 10 years in IT industry (Currently in Healthcare with multple promotions in middle. Currently a Project Manager)
Gmat: 630 (Q49 V27)

I want to apply for part time mba in stern for spring 2014. Can you please let me know, what are my chances to get in if I apply with 630 score? Should I retake the gmat and then apply?

Thanks,
Radhika

Hi Radhika,

Thanks for your post. If possible I would suggest trying the GMAT once more.... a 630 is significantly below the average at the Stern part-time program, and since schools take the highest score, it won't hurt to try again. In fact some admissions officers may even wonder why you DIDN'T try again. Of course it depends on whether you have the time etc to invest in some additional prep and taking the exam. Keep us posted on your decision and results, and good luck!
