Hi Guys! I'm kindly asking you to assess my profile & highlight what is missing to reach my goal. :)

Program: MBA
Desired BS: HBS, Stanford, LBS, INSEAD, IESE

About myself:
Age: 30
Nationality & citizenship: Ukraine
Undergrad: National Technival University in Ukraine, Degree - Logistics, GPA - 4.8
Post-graduate: Charterted Institue of Marketing, Degree - Marketing

Work experience:
Industry / Occupation: FMCG / Brand management
Work experience: 8.5 years out of which 6.5 in Marketing (brand management)
Previous employers: top FMCG companies such as P&G, Henkel, Danone.
Career path: growth from junior level position to experienced marketing manager position

Scores
GMAT: 670 (3rd attempt), Q49, V31
TOEFL: 108

MBA expectation:
After graduation: Senior management in E-Commerce/ High tech industries
Long-term: Entreprenuersip in E-Commerce

Dude, that is one scary icon!

So, although your profile looks pretty darn good, at 30 years old and with a 670 your school list is not really realistic. If you want to aim for HBS/LBS/Stanford, I'd suggest a GMAT retake, and even with a 720 it won't necessarily be that easy. I'd say that rather your "sweet spot" is somewhere around 10-30 in the US rankings ( a bit more or less depending upon your ratings, your performance, your promotion schedule).

When are you planning on applying? And do you have any volunteer work? Extra curriculars? other entrepreneurial work? or something else?

Dear JonAdmissionado,

thanks a lot for your fast reply! Can you please clarify what does exactly scare you? Is it my age or GMAT score? Because the latter is fixable, the former is not :)
My ratings are good & promotion schedule is also very nice, trust me.

Concerning volunteer work, I haven't done anything like that. But I can try :) What should I bring to prove my volunteer work and for how much time this work should last? It's probably not very sincere, but I'm ready to do what is needed.

Regarding extra cirriculum, I've took strategic management course in Bled (IEDC) School of business in Slovenia. The course includes Strategic Marketing & Management, People motivation, Change management, and Financial tools.

I plan to apply this year R2 or early next year R3. I definately don't what to apply next year.

Ahhh, it's not your PROFILE that is scary, just your ICON :) (Javier Bardem is mega scary in No Country for Old Men)

If you are planning to apply this year, then I hope you have already gotten started. Cause you only got about 3-5 weeks left to go, and R3 is basically a no-go esp. for International candidates, so try and make as many as you can R2.
