Profile Evaluation Request [#permalink] New post 30 Mar 2014, 12:18
Hello

I want to apply to Harvard Business School and I am interested in your services. But I would want to ask you: is there real chance for me to be admitted to HBS in the third round.
Here is information about me:
I am from a small post soviet country, but now (from February 2014) I live in the US;
I am not working now;
I am 34 years age;
I have 10 years of work experience from which 5 years in top managerial position in bank;
My GMAT score is 620 Q49,V25 (but this is my third score, first two were 600 and 610).
Education: BS - Applied Mathematics, MS –Law

Thank you in advance

I consider your chances of admission to HBS to be very, very low. Of course, there may be details about you that would make you a viable candidate and that I don’t know (such as some unusual and spectacular work accomplishment). But the drawbacks are several: GMAT is too low; work experience looks like more suitable for EMBA programs; older applicant without a clear sense (from the info provided) that a regular MBA is necessary for you; current unemployed status. Even with 1-2 of these issues, it would be difficult. But with all of them together, HBS is out of reach in my view.
