Hi,
I need some help with evaluating my profile.
I am a white male, age 26
GMAT Score:
710 (48V, 40Q, 8IR, 6AWA)
Educational Background:
Attended Lehigh University and graduated in 2011.
Majored in Materials Science & Engineering, Minored in Economics and Nanotechnology
Graduated with a 3.93 GPA (Summa Cum Laude).
Work Experience:
Currently work at Pratt & Whitney, a major OEM for Jet Engines, as a Materials Engineer. My experience includes a 3 year rotation program in which I was able to gain a broad perspective through assignments in different disciplines. Additionally, this gave me a strong experience in how large organizations function. Since the completion of my rotation, I have been hand-selected for a high-visibility, Skunks Work-like group in my department that is focused on solving a major issue at my company.
Extra-Curriculars:
Heavily involved in Engineer Without Borders. Currently leading a team of approximately 20 professionals in a water supply/purification project for a small Nepalese village. We plan to visit the village in May,2015 to implement our project.
MBA Goals:
Why I need an MBA: I would like to compliment my strong technical background with a managerial/strategy oriented skill set. By doing so, I believe an MBA can accelerate my leadership development and give me the skills to become an effective and impactful leader in the technology sector.
Short Term Goal: Work in managerial/strategic consulting firm with a focus on helping technology firms optimize their processes across various disciplines.
Long Term Goal: To lead a large, technically focused organization (300+)
Target Programs (Plan to Apply R1 for Class of 2018):
Tuck, Fuqua, Sloan, Stern, Darden
(Plan to Apply R2 for Class of 2018)
Tepper, Kenan-Flagler, McCombs
