Hi,
Thanks for your post. So upon a review of what you've shared, the following strengths are apparent:
-GMAT
-academics
-volunteering
-activities, military training
-some experience with training etc at work, on top of obvious strong quant/analytical/technical skills
Your potential weaknesses or challenges include:
-not a lot of leadership or management examples thus far
-slightly less work experience (but the above point is likely a bigger issue)
-tough applicant pool-- lots of Indian IT and engineering applicants with similar career profiles
-at this moment-- unsure career goals; product management and management consulting are quite different, so continue to do thorough research on your post-MBA vision which is important in admissions as well
In terms of school choices, there are many factors to consider with regard to what you want in a school and even with regard to employment opportunities... first figure out what that career plan might be, then look at the employment info by school and country to help you shape your choices. In terms of simply admissions chances, INSEAD may not be impossible but likely a reach; check out the Financial Times Rankings to see an interesting ranking of mixed US and European (and global) b-schools to brainstorm and see what schools, countries, etc interest you. Again your career plan may come into play!
If you'd like to speak further we offer free 30 minute consultations with admissions consultants or our Career Coaches, see
www.mbamission.com/consult for example for more info, and/or post back here. Good luck!
