Explore Engineering Day (2008): An event sponsored by my company that introduces high school girls to engineering.
United Way Donation Drive Coordinator for a group of rotational engineers in my region.
Serve as my company’s campus recruiting leader for New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Because my new assignment requires frequent and irregular travel, I have found it difficult to participate in non-company sponsored EC’s that meet regularly. Is that a problem?
Hobbies:
I am a competitive runner. I typically train 5 days a week and run ~5 races a year (5-milers to marathons).
I travel frequently. I have been to 20+ countries and usually go on 1-2 road trips per month.
----------------------------
I will have strong recommendations from former supervisors.
If a peer recommendation is required I would like to use a colleague that I work with frequently and who knows me well. They are a non-native English speaker so their grammar may not be impeccable. Is that a concern?
I plan to pursue a career in management consulting and am currently interested in corporate/government energy policy and strategy.
I plan to do some soul searching over the next year to refine my career ambitions and visit each of my target schools.
Sorry this is so long....
